Did he keep it below 250K the whole time?
I can just imagine the phone calls from the irate neighbors about the two afterburners!

Being stupid around airplanes is a capital offence and nature is a hanging judge!

Too bad. You're getting a matched pair of chromed Desert Eagles in .50 caliber because the order's already gone through.

The aircraft underwent a thorough inspection prior to the flight, and the afterburners were found to be in excellent condition.

I think the exhaust from the right engine is a little hotter.

...for sure it is, but the left side is set for deep water floods so it could be deceiving.

Heh. Not likely. A few years back an F-18 dropped a sonic boom on Ottawa during departure. What a fuss that was. I actually heard it, and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.Just once I'd love to hear ATC say "make your speed 1100 KIAS for spacing..."
During his time at Chatham, my father used to amuse himself by going supersonic in a vertical dive in an F-86 over Moncton. Can't understand why people get so upset about that - much quieter than a Harley riding by.

I am not so sure. The one on the right looks a little weaker then the one on the left. Looks like she may be a piston engine. I better check her out to see if she is capable for producing the necessary "thrust". And if she can suck, squeeze, bang and blow. Don't want anyone getting hurt. Safety first for everyone and I am willing to take the lead on this one.albertdesalvo wrote:The aircraft underwent a thorough inspection prior to the flight, and the afterburners were found to be in excellent condition.
Kowalski: Sir, we may be out of fuel.
Skipper: What makes you think that?
Kowalski: We've lost engine one, and engine two is no longer on fire.
