Any LINVIC old Boys (& Girls)

Post by New Guy »

Just heard through the grapevine that the former owner of LINVIC Flying Club in Lindsay, ON had retired from Air Canada at the end of April, and wanted to congratulate him on his achievement.

I was there for a couple of years and for school in a small town it gave a big group of us our start in this industry. Hopefully one day we also get to retire doing the job we want to.

N.G.

I spent a few years there. Met a lot of great people. Didn't make any money, but it sure was fun. Throwing stuff at the ceiling fans was always entertaining!

Was there for a number of years. Not much happening there anymore.
I don't know if they are getting Cadets or not, or if they even bid.

What year(s) were you guys there? As students or instructors?

I trained there in '98, got my private while going to school at the college there. Lots of good times, my instructor was T.C. Anyone know of his whereabouts, what he is doing now.

Did my PPL there in the summer of 1999. Fun little school, loved the trampoline too. Rich Cameron was my instructor, but I haven't heard from him in years.

Last I heard Rich was sitting sideways at Cargo Jet (could easily be a F/O by now). Trampoline was awesome, great instructors and good times. Sometimes I wish I could do it all again. Anybody else on here from the summer of 99? BTW it's JS.

The cfi was Julian Bahman. Others were John Hatfield, Laura Sales, Goran ( cannot recall his last name) Chris Thyes, Rob Kelly. Have lost touch with all. Hope they are all doing well. As for myself, got on with Canjet last fall flying 737-500. Really love it.

What about that crazy old bastard Armen and his ercoupe. I still have plans for a covert op to acquire that plastic owl he sticks on the prop. He still around? Is Neil still rocking the Porsche 928?
