Ive been trying to get Art to write a book for years now so, I'm trying to get as much info and pics as I can to pass on to him so he will get inspired some day and write the damn book !

Good read. Kinda hard to call that an around the world fight though. Not saying it was easy but they kinda skipped half the planet.

PT6-114A, Quite true however due to a guy landing a 172 in the Red Square in Moscow a couple of weeks prior to this flight, Russia wouldn't allow this flight to follow the same path as Howard H. did in 1938 so, without canceling the project after a year of planning they had to change the route over the North Pole. The total distance was actually a bit longer though the route was not the same.
