I also see this limiting them from purchasing the C-Series when they can just buy the 737 MAX7. They went with Boeing for commonality with the 777 and 787... so why go to the C-Series when you can just buy the smaller version of the planes you just bought.

Any word on how much kickback per airplane Boeing
had to pay this time?

IIRC Airbus paid 1/2 million per aircraft kickback for
the first AC purchase.

Because if they dump the 319s and 190s then they'll need another fleet type to replace those. The Max7 is too big/heavy, CSeries is designed for that segment. E190/195-E2 could be possibility too.

Very surprising considering all the infrastructure that AC has for the a320 family. Boing must have come up with one heck of a discount to move them from A to B.

The sale of the 20 190's indicates that the other half of this order is Bombardiers to lose. BBD will probably take the other 25 190's and the Brazilian experiment will be done with in Canada.

As for the max-7 it is doubtful that it will ever reach production. It is going to be the 737-600 of its generation sky high CASM will eliminate it from production.

I'd be willing to bet there are a bunch of pissed of pilots at AC right now. Does anyone know how much harder it is to eat with a control Column in front of you than a joy stick beside you
