Shiny's question got me to wondering what the age distribution on Avcanada is.

Re: How old are you?
I'm 39.
The thing is, while there are lots of kids getting into and interested in aviation, there needs to be more of an effort to get them more involved earlier. They need to find out that there's more than just logging hours towards paper in plastic airplanes.
edit: You forgot the 85+ category BPF, otherwise you'll not include most of the members of this forum.

28 for me. The fiance is trying to settle me down. Buy a house. Get rid of the project car.
(I'm buying the house so I have more room for the project car )

44 You guys are making me feel old. But I'm only 6 in Pilot years!
I got involved with the Cadet program - tonight I'm teaching a class of 17 eager 13-18 year olds who all want to win a Flight Scholarship. Taking 20 gliding on Sunday. We produced 3 licensed Pilot in the last 2 years. All 3 applied to RCAF, 1 didn't make it but now at Seneca.

Getting old is dull but it is the only way to live long.
Line boy at 14, 1st solo at 16, private at 17, commercial at 18. Still flying every now and then but more for pleasure and almost never for a living anymore.

Re: How old are you?
35... but I feel a lot younger. I think I got my 20s and 30s mixed up compared to most people... ...doing things like getting married and having kids in my early 20s... and doing things like snowboarding and judo in my 30s.
Started in aviation when I was 18, flying when I was 21.

Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.
