CFC Photo Contest - SMALL PLANES | SMALL AIRPORTS

Founded in 1927, The Calgary Flying Club is located at the Springbank Airport just west of Calgary.

As part of the Club’s mandate to promote general aviation, we are announcing our first Annual Photo Contest. The Contest Details will be available on our web site shortly and spell out the contest but in summary, we want people from across Alberta to submit their best photos by September 30, 2016.

Photos must be linked to the subject of SMALL PLANES | SMALL AIRPORTS, so no helicopters, big jets, major airports like YYC or military aircraft, but almost anything else – small planes, people in planes, people watching planes, views from planes, planes being serviced people servicing or fixing planes, new planes, old planes, planes that fly, planes that can’t fly – you get the idea - the sky’s the limit.

And there are great prizes.

o 1st Prize

§ Two-hour introductory flight

§ 5 hours of pilot training at the CFC

§ Photos published on the CFC website

§ Special recognition and trophy presentation at the CFC Banquet

o 2nd prize

§ One-hour introductory flight

§ 3 hours of pilot training at the CFC

§ Photos published on the CFC website

§ Special recognition and trophy presentation at the CFC Banquet

o 3rd prize

§ One-hour introductory flight

§ 1 hour of pilot training at the CFC

§ Photos published on the CFC website

§ Special recognition and trophy presentation at the CFC Banquet


o Winners can use the prize in any manner they want. Use the flight and lessons - Take the intro flight and give the lessons as a Christmas present – give them all away – it’s up to them.


o Winners keep commercial rights to the photos with permission for the CFC to use the photos for marketing purposes.


o We have an international panel of experienced photographers who will judge the photos and we will advise the winners in late October
