A trip to the beach
Everyone enjoys a trip to the beach, pilots just have access to better beaches! This is what I was up to last week.
Re: A trip to the beach
Great video, looks like you had a fun day.
It's coming up "video not available" on mobile, which I think is because of the music.

Thanks, it was a great day. I've had a few people tell me it doesn't work on mobile, it works fine on my phone and I've posted lots of videos with copyrighted music that play without any problems. Hopefully it's just a Youtube glitch that will sort itself out.CpnCrunch wrote:Great video, looks like you had a fun day.

Re: A trip to the beach
It doesn't seem to work on any mobile device (iOS or Android), from the youtube app. On both it says "video is not available". It does work on the ipad in Safari viewing the video embedded in avcanada. Android doesn't give that option...I think because avcanada only has the old Flash youtube plugin rather than the new html5 version. It's just because the music companies don't permit their copyrighted music to be played on mobile devices for some reason.I_Drive_Planes wrote: Thanks, it was a great day. So how did you find out about landing on Burnett beach. Or did you just try it? I don't see it listed in COPA's places to fly or anywhere else.

[shamelessplug] I found out about it through the BC General Aviation association airstrip map https://www.bcaviation.ca/bc-airstrip-map-intro.html You have to be a member to access it, but membership is free. I find COPA's Places to Fly to be hopelessly out of date for most places, I don't use it unless I absolutely can't find information anywhere else.
The problem with this is that it doesn't actually tell you where the hell Burnett Bay BC is.YYZSaabGuy wrote:Here, let me help you with that......

Why is it, on the Internet, that people have to be d!ickheads that they probably aren't in their real world?YYZSaabGuy wrote:Here, let me help you with that......

Thanks, hotshot - seeing as Burnett Bay is a physical location, I tried Google Earth instead and it didn't show up so I asked...

Take a downer there, Skippy - it was friendly banter, nothing more. The smilie emoticon might have been a hint for you.mmm..bacon wrote:Why is it, on the Internet, that people have to be d!ickheads that they probably aren't in their real world?YYZSaabGuy wrote:Here, let me help you with that......

Why is it, on the Internet, that some people have to be the humourless pr!cks that they probably aren't in their real world? (With apologies for following your tortuous syntax).
