It would sure be nice to at least see a couple of positions offered out East in YYZ or YUL.

From what I heard and understood, it's a matter of a couple of months before a transfer is accepted, so it isn't that bad for the moment. I guess there are people from out West that got put out East in the summer GS, therefor switches are pretty easy.

2020 will be another year of incredible amounts of movement and hiring at Jazz. Assuming the country still has any ATPL's left that want to work here..

Plenty of ATPLs, but no calls back, so i'm assuming people end up applying at other companies.

Plenty of ATPL's just none willing to live in YVR/YYZ/YUL for what jazz is offering at the moment.

It sucks for all the next new hires. Those GGN guys take a lot of the RJ spots, leaving the rest with the Q and Classic

Since I’m flying the King Air, does that qualify me to fly the Queen of the skies?

All the GGN pilots will be moved over fairly soon so it won’t be much longer.

GGN pilots were not forced on to CRJ positions. They were able to bid in seniority. But most have reasonable seniority on the Jazz list so a lot of options were open.

With hundreds leaving in 2020 there will be lots of Bases and Equipment to choose from in new-hire courses. 48 month equipment freeze sucks but freeze is waived for upgrade on any equipment. New-hires with ATP will have opportunities within 18-24 months for left seat somewhere.

To be fair the Q and the DH8 are great machines in their own right. If you get the RJ you will 100% upgrading (if you want a quick upgrade) onto either the Q or the DH8......its really nice to have flown the machine from the right seat before sitting left seat on a brand new type. Just my 2 cents
