Much speculation at this point.

Vote results on Thursday, equipment bid shortly after that, once those are settled, the picture will be much clearer. Hang tight until mid feb.

As far as I know, the “pool is full” and if this TA passes, once the GGN guys come over and they get caught up on training they’ll start to offer groundschools to those in the pool already. Once they start making those calls I’d imagine they’ll start interviewing again to fill those vacancies.
Thank you, appreciate it.

Is TA most likely going to be voted yes or no? Avcanada seems like most people are voting for no.

My guess, 95% eligible voters with a pass rate of 78%.

Thats optimistic on eligible voters.....I'd say 65-80% voter turnout and it passes in the 65-low 70s%

Won’t be forever or long before off the street starts up again. Georgian guys will be coming over but also bring the aircraft with them. Not all of them will come either.
Dash 8-100’s will be parked by the end of the year but also 5 more 900s coming this year too.

With the new PML, easily 200+ going to AC this year.

I would be surprised if we aren’t hiring off the street by a summer at the latest. If we stop altogether at all. The company would rather run a surplus and keep ahead of the hiring then get behind and never catch up.

Damn people I know it sucks waiting but this thread isn't gonna make it go faster. You've applied, you've done the process now go enjoy your life until they call. It might be a while with the new contract, sorry.

I know but asking every day if any internet strangers know anything isn't going to make the call go faster.

All I can tell you is training is going to be packed for the next many months with all the GGN pilots coming over and upgrades.

Enjoy your current job and the call will come when it comes.

I remember waiting for the call as well, in my case it took 6 months. I hated every day of waiting but looking back now I missed out a bit on enjoying my last days at my former job.

I got the email pool amost a month ago. Still no gs but like v1vr says it will take a bit longer with the new contract. In the meantime I’ll keep enjoying my current job (which is actually a blast) and flying the block-rented piper upping my pic time for atpl 👍🏻

Smart. Get your PIC. With the future revolving door at Jazz I expect to see upgrades drop to under a year again.
