And Hangry the majority of American Carriers are represented by Alpa- the same Union Jazz has.
not really. There are major differences between the ALPA's of Canada and the US. Unfortunately when you have very few pilots like Jazz does you don't get a BIG seat at the table. Read up.
Also....Americans' aren't pushovers like we are. They won't take kindly to companies outsourcing cheap labour to Canada.
If this ridiculous pipe dream (heh) comes true, it sure as hell better be turned down by the pilots UNLESS it’s done for pay near the levels of the American regionals.
Otherwise, Jazz will be just like those “scabs” who fly the RJ in YYZ. Don’t go to the level of that shithole operator folks, just to get more flying and some stupid jets.

Well i heard Jazz to eventually become a prop operator and all its jets are to be dispatched.
Nope you heard wrong. Jazz is going to become a glider operator and focus on Air Cadets during the summer months. Georgian will provide the tows with female TFWs.
Sounds like late nights in YYZ with the company and ALPA. Usually the Jan bid comes out around Jan 15 and hopefully they're making a good push to get something done. Crossing fingers for positive news
(Yes hoping YYZ gets "the jet" back) lol
Quick question. Does jazz have a, minimum 200 hour flight requirement in past 12 months to get hired? I have lots of jet pic 5k, AAs. Been out for 5 years. Coming back to fly.

Nope, I have flown with a few people who "rejoined" the industry.

The way I understand it, applicant's who don't have 200 hrs in the last 12 mo get flagged by HR and don't make it further than the initial phone interview unless the chief pilot vets the application to move ahead. So don't let it stop you from applying; if your resume is solid, it should get through.
Thanks for that. Would AC consider guys getting back into the industry? Live in ylw. Hoping for a YVR or yyc base. Been a while since I was in the game. Stuff sure has changed. Wow

Yes. They can barely fill classes with anyone other than college kids. Apply away I'd be happy to have someone with your experience sitting next to me even if you're a bit rusty. Good luck..

Not a coincidence that GGN/ALPA negotiations are going on simultaneously.
I heard there was an email sent out from Jazz saying all the CRJ’s will be operated by Jazz by the end of the year. Any news on what’s happening to GGN?
