I heard personally from John Conor as he was time traveling back to future judgment day that Jazz will operate the 797 and that it's employees will be merged into a one seniority with the AC group as a common employer.

In twenty years time when your kids ask how you got into flying you want to be able to say "work and determination" not "I just kept taking money from your grandparents for type ratings until someone was stupid enough to give me a job"

Then Seneca grads can finally say "pilot at Air Canada express".

I heard a rumor that, in the future, Jazz pilots will be able to afford both shelter and food.

I hear they are trying to get a waiver from transport so captains no longer need an ATPL?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Funny funny, guys.
The Company has engaged the MEC Executive to discuss its vision for Jazz. Management wants to open a dialogue broadly related to the following:

· near/medium term fleet renewal

· long term vision post-2025

Probably SKY guys thinking Jazz is crap because they fly fancy jets. Look at them cry when they get tail ended to our seniority list after the merger

Jazz is buying GGN and SKY

Overheard it from a fat captain in the crew room as he was devouring his 6 pack of donuts waiting for his last Timmins turn.

Is this the long talked about addition of Uniteds transborder flying? The addition of new Q's to supplement our aging fleet of classics that will soon be doing the 1900 flying? The addition of RJ's to take over the GGN RJ flying when they negotiate a proper contract and AC takes the flying away from them? The addition of another fleet type to keep the SKR CBA at bay by AC? A cadet program akin to Cathays? There are a billion theories..

The fact is we won't hear anything of significance until it's in a press release. Publicly traded company. I do like the shelter and food rumour though. :)

PS. If and I doubt it will happen but if there's a merger of any sort it would be date of hire, not one group put on the bottom of another's list.

ALPA Merger Policy would apply.

Step 1: Negotiate a joint collective agreement.

Step 2: Merge pilot seniority lists. Process = Negotiate - Mediate - Arbitrate. No prescribed integration formula but specific factors to be considered.

Step 3: Establish a single MEC

American pilots too greedy asking for a proper wage?!?
Do not fear! Loser grossly underpaid Canadian pilots will pick up the slack no problem!

Don’t get too excited. American carriers have real unions.
