More layoff emails went out today. Nov 2016 was just laid off. 838 on the seniority list was the highest it went.
Was that exactly 675 seniority numbers from the bottom of the list? Or did the lay offs extend further because of medical leaves, parental leaves, etc?

Yes thats why, so it went higher than 675

Not necessarily, they will be on a standby status, on 75% of their wage to the max allowed, it doesn’t look like Jazz will make up the difference, it’s just keeping the ones on layoff from having to go on EI for now

It is nice of Jazz to do that. Beats EI, at least for captains (not sure how the math would look for FOs). I wonder if the standard deductions such as union dues and benefit deductions would still apply to those previously laid off with this new development in place.
