Q400 Flight Director

Post by floats4fun »

Hey guys, does the Q400 have the option of flipping between cross bars and the V bars like on some aircraft, or is it only the cross bars?

Is it hard getting used to those cross bars for the flight director (coming from someone who has only ever used the V bar ones)?

I used to hate the command bars too, but the more you use them the more they become instinctive.

What works for me is this: picture the intersection of the two bars as a point you have to chase. Just chase this point and before you know it it will become natural.

Enjoy the Q400.

It most probably has the option to switch to the V-Bars [the classics do] but you as the pilot will not be able to change it. Crosshairs are standard on all the company types.
