vortex generators

Hello Homebuilders. I posted a simialr topic in the maintance fourm, but wanted some feedback from you homebuilt types. I am thinking about installing a VGs kit on my pa-11. The airplane is either on floats or ski. As a ski plane it performs well as a float plane a little doggy out of the water. My question is, will the VGs help me out of the water? Will I notice a difference with or without them?

Hi, my neighbour put vortex generators on his PA-11 on floats last summer. They seem to work pretty well. I only flew it a few times last summer, but I seem to recall I was able to get it out of the water about 7 or 8 mph slower than I could without the generators. At gross I think I was getting out at about 27-28 mph indicated.
