Doesn't most technology evolve from military use and trickle into civil aviation later? Glass cockpits were made in the 70s for the space shuttle...

There are plenty of advances that were pioneered in civilian aviation.

Still... 5g RAs? I’d hate to have a system that let something get so close to require 5gs in the first place.
