I wouldn't say that that kind of stuff doesn't happen with regular troops, but I would imagine a lot of those kinds of things have something to do with the fact that they're either high school drop-outs or 18 year-old National Guard thinking it was a way to have them foot some of the bill for school. Is it really that far off from conscription?

Yeah, it's unreal that they would do something like that, but what is absolutely incredible is that they did it knowingly in front of 60 minutes or whoever that was. I'm really curious what kind of punishment was lined up for those clowns, although I fear they got a slap on the wrist, if at all.

After Somalia, JC DISBANDED an entire regiment of the army for stupid crap like that. If those were OUR troops there, and Canadian troops running over a guys car cause he was stealing wood in a war zone was shown on Canadian TV, I hate to think what the government would do.

I would deffinatly believe that those are regular army if some one told me so.
The boys got balls to do that on TV. I think the biggest question is that if, as we would all probably agree, this isn't so uncommon why haven't we seen more on the news about it. Perhaps the media isn't quite so left-wing after all.

Who cares even if the narrative was B.S....the guy had wood in the car and on the roof...they didn't have any weapons or a single gun from what I could see. I'd have to say the narrative was pretty damn accurate.

I should have put a poll on about how many think that the Army guys were in the army cause a judge sent them there for stealing.

I mean, never mind the fact that one of the soldiers says right into the camera:

"We try to stop them from lootin', they don't understand. So we'll take their car and we'll crush it. US army tankers, hoo-ah!"

Pretty ambiguous stuff...

Now, whether the victim was acutally a cabbie or not, we'll never know. Does it really matter to you? Is that even the point?

Why don't you try actually watching an episode of Frontline before you go criticizing it's integrity. Oh wait... the doctor already ordered you to do that.

The reason I keep harping on this is because you three (although I'm sure Haza is in part just having fun) desperately need some education. Every time you post you just prove my point further.

The reason I'm pushing Frontline in particular is that they present a ton of information that you will NEVER see on the private network broadcasts. The whole problem with the general population is that they get their "information" EXCLUSIVELY from the mainstream media. This is one of the biggest reasons that Iraq II had so much support (although, look at the numbers now... how strange) and that Bush got re-elected.

So shut up, grow up, and take your f*ckin' medicine little boy.

In case the irony has eluded you, you've claimed that people are stupid for buying into a certain news source that is biased, while you yourself promote a different source, with a different bias. I think this is the point where reference is made to a pot and a kettle. No news source is completly neutral by virtue of it being written/presented/reported by a human being. I agree totally with your argument that people should think about what they see/read and not accept it at face-value. That goes for everyone, not just the mystery 3.

The airborne Regiment was a training Regiment most if not all the troublemakers were from the Van Doos. But good luck shutting down a regiment from Quebec. If You doubt me ask an old friend who was sent in to clean up and also got the axe Col. B Vernon
