Re: Hiring?
Ya I've seen the new hire bids for the last few AC classes- very few from AT. Lots from Encore.
Re: Hiring?
Any idea if they’re hiring and opening their pilot application portal anytime soon?
Re: Hiring?
They're hiring them before they have a chance to go to Transat.

Re: Hiring?
Can't find a portal for Transat is it on their website when there is an opening?
Re: Hiring?
Is the YVR base seasonal ?
In twenty years time when your kids ask how you got into flying you want to be able to say "work and determination" not "I just kept taking money from your grandparents for type ratings until someone was stupid enough to give me a job"
Re: Hiring?
Though so but saw it listed on PCC ...

Re: Hiring?
Some senior people have kept their YVR base from years ago so there are a few pilots based there. There have not been any positions in YVR posted for at least a decade and no temporary YVR base since 2014.

Re: Hiring?
Hello All, just looking for some current info. Are there any ZED fare agreements ? What does a first year FO take home every month ? Crunching numbers here, thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers

Anyone know if they have started making calls for the Second in Command posting yet?

Re: Hiring?
Greetings all!
My strong apologies with a stupid question to follow. Since we all know how much the industry has changed and we do indeed see the so-awaited shortage. I’m curious to know how flexible AT is with their required experience. Is the 2000 hours minimum a hard requirement even if you you have considerable jet time but not the required hours? Many carriers have lowered their experience level so I was wondering what AT’s views on that was. Thanks guys.

Re: Hiring?
I applied with 1700 hours and an Atpl. Currently I am an FO at a large regional. I heard back from HR saying I need at least 2000 for them to consider me but they encouraged me to apply again once I hit that target.

Re: Hiring?
It depends. Any internal references? Have you worked in Québec? Do you speak French? Other than your jet time, any other qualifications? If you can answer yes to a couple of those I would apply right away.
Re: Hiring?
Just curious, what's driving this current push in hiring? Expansion? Movement to AC? Anticipating Duty Regs?
Can't see a large cohort of retirees there for quite a while till the core YUL guys start retiring.
Cheers
