Can a newly minted A319/320/321 AC Captain still be drafted back to an F/o position?
Curious if a newly minted A320 AC Captain can still be drafted to his/her old gig within the company,... say as a 787 F/o? I assume any new AC A320 Captain would be flying a reserve block and wonder if the company needed an F/o to fly to DEL, Crew Sked could call a newly promoted A320 Captain if he/she is still current as a 787 F/o to fill an F/o seat

You can't fly your old type as soon as you start training on the new type.

No.

No one goes 787fo to 320c
Re: Can a newly minted A319/320/321 AC Captain still be drafted back to an F/o position?
Not true, there's at least one showing 320 CA from 787 FO on the last bid...
Re: Can a newly minted A319/320/321 AC Captain still be drafted back to an F/o position?
Wrong. Lots of people do it. Usually lifestyle change. Or 76 C.
Re: Can a newly minted A319/320/321 AC Captain still be drafted back to an F/o position?
Umm, many do. Some also go 320c to 787fo. Some have even gone EMJc to 330rp, by choice. Not kidding.
There is nothing new under the sun.

Lifestyle I guess.
If you have the means to do so financially, when you have kids if you have the option to move to a top of a list with a bit of a pay cut... why not? Full control over your schedule is very valuable to some people.

There are no 330 RP positions. All augmented flying (which there is very little of) is done by FO’s.

Even when going from right to left on the same aircraft. Once you’ve commenced your left seat training you won’t be called for any right seat flying.
Re: Can a newly minted A319/320/321 AC Captain still be drafted back to an F/o position?
There have been many 330 RPs over the years.
Position was only eliminated recently.
And yea, people have gone from Captain to RP of various fleets, or Captain to FO, or 777/787 FO to Narrowbody Captain.

aV1 was using past tense in his statement so I don't know why you refuted it then...
Anyway...
Many guys are still on grandfathered rates if they go to RP even today - make almost as much as an FO in the fleet and fly great schedules.

Today there are no 330 rp positions. The position existed for a long time. Notice I said "some have gone". Note the past tense.
Did you know there are AC pilots who once held 747 positions? Unbelievable, I know. Since there are no AC 747s today.

Holy Feck dudes chill out, it’s not like I was attacking you. I missed the past tense...sorry. Is that better now?
