Hiring outlook
Anybody know if Encore will be still hiring in the first part of 2019? Are they still short Drivers? Noticed they haven't posted positions. Mainline has a posting up for mainline and Swoop.
Re: Hiring outlook
Likely the ads are just temporarily down. They will always be hiring for the foreseeable future.
Re: Hiring outlook
They're still accepting resumes but I heard that ground schools are on hold for the time being. They're keeping some candidates in a pool, but no ground schools have been planned for February, at least from my understanding.

Re: Hiring outlook
Does this mean things are slowing down? I was told they were doing ground schools all year. If anyone knows anything about if they are going to still higher, please reply.
Re: Hiring outlook
They will be hiring again. However, the hiring will slow down as compared to last year as there are no more aircraft deliveries planned in the near future. They've gone from 34 to 47 aircraft in 2 years so there was crazy expansion and hiring. Hiring will continue due to flow and attrition, but likely at a much slower pace.

Re: Hiring outlook
Bummer. I was all ready to go. Have alot of jet pic, AAs, 5k and DFO, but been out of the game for 5 years due to family reasons. Any suggestions? Was kinda thinking being out would hurt me. IFR is current.
Re: Hiring outlook
I would be surprised if the FO posting isn't up again relatively soon. Not sure if/when they are looking for Direct Entry Captains. Lots of options out there right now though.Citationdriver wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 2:20 pm Bummer. I was all ready to go. How about Coastal Pacific? Better option than Encore for West coast.

Re: Hiring outlook
Anybody have insight as to when WJE will turn the training taps back on?
Re: Hiring outlook
Lots of growth for YVR planned at AC this year. With your time, look into it. Or mainline WJ. You’ll wait a few years before you can hold YVR base because you’ll be at BOTL.
Good luck.
Re: Hiring outlook
Lol. A few years. AC will have you YVR within a year. WJ would be easily upwards of a decade.
Re: Hiring outlook
Lol. Honestly tho, 6 years or so for YVR base as of today for WJHangry wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 4:45 pm

Re: Hiring outlook
Seems like Encore slowed down the hiring process. Has anybody gotten called or offered a job since January? I applied December and still showing in process..

How was your hiring process? What steps and how long did it take?
