Porter Interview + Simulator Eval
Hi everyone -
I'm looking for some help from people that have gone through the hiring process.
I have an interview coming up with Porter this month. I'm super excited for this opportunity and grateful.
This would be my first airline interview. Any feedback on the types of questions to expect for the in person interview? If I am invited for the sim evaluation, what can I expect?
Thanks!

Hey, Congratulations on your interview. How long did it take for you to get an invite after your RIVS video recording? Thank you.

Thanks.
Not too long. Maybe a week?
Re: Porter Interview + Simulator Eval
Lots of "tell me about a time" type questions, nothing technical.
The sim eval is a mini-IFR ride.

Re: Porter Interview + Simulator Eval
Is porter still doing sim evals? I don’t even know…
If so, it would be what every other airline that requires sim eval. It’s a mini ppc.
Probably take off, track an airway, get/enter a hold correctly and do an approach. Don’t worry so much about knowing the airplane, it’s gonna be about how well you can work together and if you’re aren’t a complete nuisance in the flight deck. Ask your partner to set altitudes or headings, etc. I believe most people use the term CRM.
Good luck.
Edit: or did I get caught by one of capt_z’s alter egos. Lol

Probably a 100 question limitations workbook (tongue heavily in cheek) to go with the sim eval.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 3:03 pmIs porter still doing sim evals? I don’t even know…
