Getting a call

Post by MarkyMark90 »

I was wondering...

What kind of flying hours profile Jazz is looking for if a said person doesn’t have an aviation degree, and is a modular / self study pilot?

Of course the seneca guys (nothing against them) have a fast track with 250 hours, but it’s not the case for the rest of us...

Feel free to PM if needed

Thanks

They count Virtual Air Canada Express time at 1000:1.

Seems like they're interviewing at the 500hr mark these days. Apply. tick all the boxes and see what happens.

Here's my story, maybe it'll help.

This spring when I updated my application I had :

1500 TT
1200 PIC
150 night, 150 IFR
ATPLs
Aviation degree
Internal reference
702-703 experience
but only 30 multi...

Crickets.

I soon as I hit 300 twin, I updated my file, got a call 1 week later.

What I think is that when you tick all the good answers in their online questionnaire you go on top of the list and they call you fairly quick. If you have over 500TT with some twin time you have good chances in my opinion.

Of course, it costs nothing to put in your resume and hope !

Cheers

They called me a day after applying online. 4500TT and 3000MPIC, online test done the same day after their initial phone call from Halifax. Interview offered within 2 days after I applied online. Pretty quick..thought I’d try the Jazz route to AC as I haven’t been called once by AC after applying for many years hah.

At the present time. 1000 hrs and 250 Multi is the minimum hiring TT according to HR.

If you are a part of the Jazz Pathways the minimum time doesn’t apply as you get in straight from college into any type of A/C.

I cant believe you can have an IATRA, 250HRS and like 16 multi hours and get favoured over someone with the ATPL requirements. Both from partnership schools..
