And some one who writes 'you' by spelling 'u' is old enough to work at c3. Bought my DC headset 27 years ago...still works like new...just sayin'...

Re: Bose aviation headsets...pleased be advised:
Now that we have his order nr, we can all call Bose to cancel it or redirect it to a different address
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

My DC has had a messed up speaker since day 1, just haven't been bothered enough to send it in... Maybe if I send them a message in all caps they'll give me a new headset...
The only thing I wished to have seen was your edited posts. Too bad they didn't all get quoted.

This must be something you could fix yourself? I can’t imagine it’s much more than trimming and soldering

Re: Bose aviation headsets...pleased be advised:
I also own a 15+-year-old Bose X headset. One of the plastic side yokes cracked a few months ago, so it sent it to Brant Aero (the authorised Canadian repair shop) and got it back in a bit over a week, totally overhauled, with stronger side yokes, for just over CA $200 including HST and shipping.
I don't know what happened to the OP or why — maybe there are some models of the Bose X that can't be repaired (???) — but I had been fully prepared to write the headset off since it was so old, so it was a real treat getting it back better than new.
