Third time we will try this. And I hope the moderators will not shut it down again. Talk about the hairy eyeball much?!
Here are the reasons:
Besides the obvious issues that resulted in TC suspending the AOC, R1 was so fractured that there was no direction in the end except to pull the plug. One DFO had the starry eyed notion that each contract could run itself with minimal crew. In other words lets do this so cheap and have everyone doing multiple jobs... Canadian enough for you?
1. Completely missed the mark when it came to making a proper bid.
2. In house fighting: The engineers were an issue. It was resolved. FA and a certain DFO and one engineer involved in something that they should not have done - Resolved. Last issue: More cat fighting created by one crew member making life difficult for everyone else.
3. Poor management support for an overseas contract.
4. Crew overseas were experienced and very capable to do the job.
5. poor support.
6. More in fighting within departments
7. Lots of conferences and no direction.
8. extremely poor knowledge when it came to running an op outside of Canada.
And that is how the cookie crumbled.
