Re: Jumpseat.
I believe that's what the plan is but we haven't heard any details yet.
UPDATE: Just announced, multiple jump seaters is confirmed.
(But we finally lost the AIF battle, it seems.)

Re: Jumpseat.
AC just got Porter back for JS. Does that mean Porter can jump on AC? Is the petty fight over?

Re: Jumpseat.
AC can jump on Porter, Porter can jump on AC. Unfortunately it isn't free anymore (for non Porter employees). Unlimited jumpseaters now.

Re: Jumpseat.
Is the booking process still the same for jumpseat on the website?
Re: Jumpseat.
Yes, except you'll need a credit card now.GoinVertical wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:41 pm Is the booking process still the same for jumpseat on the website?
Re: Jumpseat.
I'd rather have unlimited JS available and pay $15, than be bumped when there are empty seats and another non Porter pilot got there before you.Cessna 180 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:17 pm AC can jump on Porter, Porter can jump on AC. In the past you could pay for a Porter pilot's "standby ticket" and then get the designated "jumpseat" but the price ends up being the same it is now. I am OK with this new deal since it opens up more seats.
Re: Jumpseat.
Do other airlines jump on Porter through MyID travel or is there a jumpseat number?

Re: Jumpseat.
Thanks!
That form has to be filled out every time for each person and run by the capt eh?
Re: Jumpseat.
Filled out by each person yes, as for cleared by the Captain... I guess technically, however every time I've gone with them it's never been denied so long as there are seats. Not sure if they even talk to the crew anymore but I always pop in and say thanks either way.

Re: Jumpseat.
Ya you have to fill it out. It's Porter's way to force you to "ask for permission" for the ride. With the CSRs handling it now a days, a lot of people just assume its okay, but it's the captains seat to give away not the CSRs. It's a good habit to ask on every airline you jump seat on anyways.
In practice, you will never be turned down if there's space aval.
