Re: Thomas Cook Effect
Seems like a way to end the "pilot shortage", plenty of crew looking for work now.
Re: Thomas Cook Effect
The powers that be will certainly be scrambling today to figure out plan B. Hopefully with so much uncertainty the past year, they had a clause with the lessor that still allows the AC to come over for the winter months. If not, you might see the 330 flying some more this winter.

We will see what Air Canada will decide. As they keep asking Transat to lend some of their aircrafts to help with the max issue; Transat was unable to help but now they can. Transat may also negociate a trade with TCX’s lessor to get rid of all the B737NG and bring A321s earlier than plannedflyinhigh wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 5:19 am The powers that be will certainly be scrambling today to figure out plan B. (The lessor will be happy as the B737NG will be in high demand again in Europe early 2020 and the price for the rent has increased significantly since the max issue)
Continuously hiring as they are short on pilots...More hiring, less hiring, no effect?
