I'd walk in to the office of whoever is responsible today with an ultimatum for the school to satisfy their responsibility to you, in an accelerated manner, immediately or I'd take legal action against the school.
Bottom line, you are getting what you paid for if they are refusing you to go flying.
That represents not only a waste of your money today, and loss of income today by necessity of extending your training, but future opportunity lost also. That's 1 year later on the seniority list, 1 year later for your Captain upgrade, 1 more year you could potentially have been at the top of the pay scale on the biggest equipment at whatever airline you go to before you retire...
Time is opportunity, seniority, lifestyle, money in this business, today and into the future... don't let them waste yours.
And out of curiousity, what is the issue? Aircraft or staffing shortage? Or instructors just not wanting to fly?

I don't understand how a school like this can remain in operation.

What a mess!!
Was reading on another group, yet another student in the program just gave up and left.
After wasting 2 plus years and $30,000 spent, just got tired of the NOT FLYING on a regular bases.
There are currently students (Nov 2019) that are at risk of being dropped out of the program because the school has not be able to fly them enough to meet a cut off point/lesson plan . Being past the voluntary drop out point now, they would forfeit their semesters tuition.

Surely that's not legal? Any student with a semi-competent lawyer would win that case case ten times out of ten.Saultnot4u wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 10:01 am What a mess!!

I did my PPL in 8 months at a local flight school (evenings and weekends) at the age of nearly 40. Surely a college can do it quicker with a full time program?
