They don't pfo you after 4 months? Lots of guys and girls (?) waiting since mid summer with no news other than "be patient, we will let you know once we make a decision". Seems to me that some might be PFOed after 4 months.
I was under the impression that PFO are sent out in 6-8 weeks after the completion of the interview. If not you are just waiting for ground school date

We have pfod candidates after 4-6 months. I don't agree with this practice but it's been done. As recently as last week infact but that was partly due to other circumstances surrounding the candidate.

I believe calls went out for a number of classes just before Christmas (up to Feb 17 if I understand correctly) if this is the case, can we expect a delay for the March 9 class calls, or could these be coming soon(ish)?

Just throwing it out there to see if anyone has any info.

Cheers,

T

39 new hires starting next Monday, mostly jazz with some OTS. Will be picking OTS hiring to cover wideboy FO spots (looking for previous widebody experience)

Feb 17th class should have about the same number of new hires.

Not sure when calls are going out for march, if i were to take an educated guess, it would be next week.

I imagine the HR group is busy, but contacting them doesn’t help... we’re in for a long wait.

Hey, just wondering if you heard yet? And if so, how long did you wait before you got the call?

I have been waiting for over a month and from what I hear from others I won't get a response anytime soon.

@eyestotheskies

Still nothing from HR for me. Holding on tight as best I can while they go through all the files.

Interview and medical all done early August.

That’s a big group of 39 .

What’s the break up between OTS & AC feeders ?

Did they force assign the 10 WB FO positions to the experienced OTS guys ?

Wide body FO has typically been forced to guys with heavy jet time. I’ve been told for this class that they’re forcing the new hires with 737 time onto wide body FO as well... yikes

If the company is forcing 3-4 new hires per gs onto the 787, at least you can tell yourself that your relative seniority on the equipment will accrue faster than if you are assigned an rp position. Friend of mine hired june 2018 has been on rsv as an rp since that time and is nowhere close of getting out with this type of hiring going on.

Could your friend not bid for an FO spot that has increasing seniority?
I understand course rights are a hindrance but if bidding RP to FO on the same type, is that a full course?

I haven't. Did the interview 5 months ago in early September. References called 2 and a half weeks ago. Still no word. Honestly at this point the interview feels so long ago I don't really care too much.
