Claiming TC exams on my tax return

Just wondering if anyone has claimed their TC exams on their taxes. I read online you can claim exams needed for a professional license on your tax return, however, I don't know where exactly I would claim it.

On a side note, I am also wondering if you can claim renting a plane on the side in order to get PIC time in for your ATPL, and if any of you have tried it.
