Any instructor paid while they stay home?

Post by karmutzen »

Canada is supposed to be awash in 100B to provide relief for those that cannot work due to government imposed directives. Any of that 100B trickle down to flight instructors that typically get paid by Hobbs? Any flight school paying their staff while they stay home? Might have to move back into my mom's basement.

Any flight instructor who works for Confed, Sault, or Seneca will continue to get paid.

I believe MRU is still paying their flight instructors. They are on salary, of course. Haven't heard about anything from the schools that pay hourly.

It was 82b, 27b of which is for individuals. Ei is being fast-tracked. Just in, total is up to 107b now.

The other 55b is for corporations. Everyone is dealing with layoffs and shut downs.

Get on ei and bunker down.

No flying at Sault College right now... I don't know if they're doing virtual video lectures or anything like that.
