FDMET & FDOPS Exam
Has anyone written those exam recently? It’s not a hot topic so I wouldn’t be surprised if the last time you heard someone did those were years ago. Is there any self study resources available or any recommendations to study for those exams?

Re: FDMET & FDOPS Exam
I wrote both FDMET & FDOPS back in spring 2018, and I passed them in the first attempt with 75% Mark.
I also wrote both my ATPL SARON & SAMRA exams one week after, and passed them both with around 72%, so that tells you I have some good aviation knowledge base.
If you are a pilot and have recently written Commercial’s written exam as well as Instrument’s INRAT Exam, then FDOPS & FDMET should not be too difficult for you.
In my OPNION: FDOPS & FDMET is comparable to Commercial Written Exam, but much EASIER than ATPL’s.
If you are new to the field of aviation, then you have a few months of serious studying ahead of you.
STUDY MATERIAL:
. Aeronautical Information Manual published by Transport Canada
. Canada Air Pilot published by NAV Canada
. Commercial Pilot License and Instrument License Ground Schools offered by HARV’s air, aka pilottraining.ca
The good news is that writing FDOPS and FDMET does not cost much money. When I wrote them in BC, they were free to write. As oppose to ATPLs which cost about $80 EACH.
Good luck

Re: FDMET & FDOPS Exam
Thanks so much for your insight, I did my commercial writtens feb of 2019 and I wrote the inrat Wednesday so that’s why I’m thinking now would be a good time to attempt the FDMET especially because the knowledge is there from the inrat and then some so we’ll seechallenger_nami wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:02 am I wrote both FDMET & FDOPS back in spring 2018, and I passed them in the first attempt with 75% Mark.
