You mean this climate wherein freight operations have not been negatively affected? In fact, quite the opposite? A company that has had revenue grow 15% per year for the last 5 years and their stock price increase by 740%? If not now, then when?

CJ will acquire B777 if they feel they have the committed long term cargo volume to fill the planes. However, an additional fleet type comes with significant overhead costs that need to be spread across a meaningful number of hulls.

I cannot see this happening on a dry lease basis for a fleet of less than 4. On a wet lease basis, it could be just 1.

I bet that is one airliner that doesn't come with a discount these days. I wonder if used 747 would be cheaper but those prices have probably gone up as well.

All 777 freighters are the shortbody ones - no cameras. IAI(Bedeck) is creating a 777-300 freighter conversion which might be cheaper but not available for a few years.

It's almost entirely covid supplies (masks etc) As soon as that dies down I think they're going to scale things back.

B777F is a fun, fun aircraft to fly. GE90's with 110,000lb of thrust a side made going empty from DXB to HKG a lot of fun on takeoff.

If I had a dime for every wishful fleet rumour ever spread for some Canadian carrier or another...

That's their Saskatoon hangar, you can see the Transwest logo on the plane on the right. What makes you think they would be parking 777s in Saskatoon?

That's their Saskatoon hangar, you can see the Transwest logo on the plane on the right. What makes you think they would be parking 777s in Saskatoon?

I was assuming they'd do MX there but guess I was wrong.
