Pearson Overflight
Anybody fly over Pearson or been able to get a low approach over one of their runways in the past few months? Heard of a few people being allowed to do that. What would be the best way to go about doing so? Time of day? Day of week? I suppose just call up terminal and state your intentions and follow vectors from there? I obviously probably wouldn't get a clearance in during rush hour...if there even is a rush hour these days?

Call up TMl, ask.
I believe over one of the north - south runways is more likely to be approved.

D1934/20 NOTAMR D0911/20
A) CYYZ B) 2007182102 C) 2010181100
E) FLTS NOT ORIGINATING, TERMINATING OR DIVERTING TO CYYZ PPR CTC
416-776-3030)
I believe this NOTAM applies, I’d start by calling that number.

Re: Pearson Overflight
I know a guy who did an overflight a few weeks ago in a 65 HP Luscombe.
I don’t think he did a touch and go due to the landing fees though!

Re: Pearson Overflight
Apparently a student from an undisclosed flight school west of Toronto but east of London did a low and over on a runway with live traffic and caused a few go-arounds. Rumor is the YYZ low and overs are going to be a thing of the past unfortunately.
Re: Pearson Overflight
Can easily arrange an overflight at YYZ by calling Terminal on the radio who will direct you. More often than not, it will be the 33s you can overfly as they typically use the 24s and 23.
I did a flyover in the summer in a Cherokee may as well take advantage of the dead airspace.
FYI that NOTAM appears to be for landing at YYZ, not overflight.

Re: Pearson Overflight
Just flew a Diamond DA-40 over Pearson today. Departed from CNY3 for the city tour and then I always try to ask tower if I can fly over head Pearson, they usually ask for me or they give me their freq and I have to ask. Ever since covid they’ve been allowing me. Today I got to do a low and over on RWY 23. Believe me or not I was asked by tower if I want to do circuits aha so I did 2. Best day of my life. Funniest part was as I was doing a low and over, and a jet was holding short for 23. I wish I could show the video but files to large.
