Chrono Aviation
Anybody know why Chrono Aviation went with painting their aircraft all black?
I have my own theories, just was curious to know from people who know (preferable to speculation).

MAAAAAAAAHHHHHT BLAHHHHCK. The Aflak duck would like a word with your radio callsign. That -700 they just bought should look snazzy in black

They apparently haven't gotten the memo that it's ridiculously expensive to cool a black plane in the middle of summer.

Because it looks cool AF. Black is executive. It's likely a brand thing. Instantly recognizable. A black 1900 or PC12 grabs your attention more more than a generic white plane.

You can sneak in and out of airports at night and nobody will know!

The -200 does make for a pretty slick stealth machine. At night, no one outside of 25km from the airport would ever know you where there!

Panama Jack,
To answer your question, well, I donnu......
Having said that, as a retired driver who has been around the block quite a bit, BUT, lives in quebec, perhaps I can give a teeny bit of insight.
The guy who started this place came up through the red tail regionals, got a job at big red through a flow through deal, ran into money, decided to start a company, and wants to conquer the world. Don't know the guy, others described the character to me. And I was not even looking for information.
And now for the black thing. It's all about culture. Drive a big corvette, you get attention. I suspect that it is all that it is. That is how it is around here. As the locals looking for attention say, talk well or ill about me, just talk about me.
So black gets attention, his marketing ploy seems to have some success.
As far as I know, he is doing pretty well.

Attempting to understand the world. I have not succeeded.

Nobody ever thinks of that.172_Captain wrote: ↑Mon May 31, 2021 1:47 pmThe -200 does make for a pretty slick stealth machine. At night, no one outside of 25km from the airport would ever know you where there!
The Soviets and Swedes were always waiting for the SR-71 because they would have no problem finding someone within 25 miles of RAF Mildenhall willing to pick up the phone for a £5 note.
But nobody could doubt it looked cool. Forget national security, the PVO just wanted a glimpse of it.
