Post by tamil8787 »

I am planning to take the private pilot license and looking for good flight schools in Toronto. not seeing much of the reviews for any of the schools and most of the flight school posts in the forum are old. Just wanted to get the current good schools.
Any help will be appreciated.

Definitely Durham Flight Centre in Oshawa
Instructors are well experienced and very friendly
Price is very reasonable in compare with other flight schools
You don’t waste time flying a long route to practice area
So many other reasons

I second that. Though I am a long ago student of Brampton, I have learned that the more custom and client appropriate method of learning is better. I was fortunate at Brampton, at the time, to be taught by a very experienced instructor, and to be waiting to be old enough for licenses, that I was able to receive some "custom" instruction.

Do not aim for the minimums of learning, aim for the best - your life literally does depend upon it!

You should take a lesson at at least two, or better, three, different schools before settling. You should be able to learn something from each lesson, so it’s not money wasted (make it clear you want a lesson not an intro flight) and you’ll get the idea of the flavour of different schools. Some schools work better for some, other schools for others.
