WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Post by gelbisch »

I think that's what I said I'd call just such a post a while back!

Well, I just got the call this morning and I'm starting on AC's next course! I've enjoyed working where I am now so it's a little sad to be leaving, but I've been looking forward to this moment for a long time and I'm pretty pumped! I hope to see some of you guys/gals there!

Gee, I guess I'd better start hitting the books...!

Congrats Gelbisch,

I don't know you, but from reading your posts, it sounds like you wanted this really badly. If this is the case, I'm sure the airline will benefit by having guys like you. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of time and experience do you have? Education?

Thanks everyone! My phone hasn't stopped ringing today... I feel like I won the lottery or something! Now I just have to dust off the cobwebs and get my poor, tired ol' noggin all spooled up again...

To answer all the questions, I interviewed mid-September and will be on the November 7 course. I know people who interviewed before me, so I'm not sure why I'm so lucky. I have almost 6000 hours, most of it turboprop. About half is multi turbine PIC... and about 500 S/O. I went to Seneca... I speak a little (emphasis on "little") French and German, but only about as much as you need to speak to a 4 year old. I had three references, two internal. Not sure what equipment it'll be, but if past courses are anything to go by, it sounds like the Embraer. Should be right up my alley after all that time watching over the shoulders of guys driving the 72!

Congratulations Gelbish, you deserve it. I wish you lots of success on the course. And if it was a lottery, you just won the jackpot my friend.

I hope to see you there one day. That is, if my phone ever rings.

Best of luck with everything.
