First visit of a Conair Q400 Airtanker at the CYYF Penticton Airport on August 5, 2021. This Dehavilland DHC-8-400 was formerly owned by Flybe (G-ECOJ) before it was sold to Conair and reconfigured to an aerial firefighting aircraft

That belly tank does something weird to the Q400. I have never seen a Q400 approach at such a high nose up attitude unless it was painfully slow.

That looks like a normal Q-400 approach profile to me. It's the -100 and -300 that always approached "nose low."notwhoyouthinkIam wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 4:24 am That belly tank does something weird to the Q400. Nose high was likely because it looks like they didn't use much flaps. Disclaimer, I don't know much about the Q400.
Trapped in time, surrounded by evil, low on gas.
