Had you read my last reply with the definition of vaccine and had any brain cells, you would understand why someone who is immunocompromised would not have the benefits of a vaccine.

Vaccine: a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body's immune response against a specific infectious agent or disease

Immunocompromised: having the immune system impaired or weakened

I hope that you are able to put 2 and 2 together, but in case you can't, I'll spell it out for you.

A vaccine allows your immune system to learn how to make an antibody before it encounters the real virus. If your immune system is not functioning properly, the issue is not the vaccine; it's your immune system.

And, when everyone else gets vaccinated, reducing the overall infection rate, the risk to immunosuppressed people like the subject of the article diminishes.

Then don't take them. I'll be lining up for my booster, the same way I get a flu shot every year. Why? Because a few of the people I care about most are immunocompromised, and I want to reduce their risk as much as possible. I vaccinate myself to protect them.

FFS. How many times do I need to teach you what a vaccine is and what it does?

The issue we had was never truly about the raw number of people getting sick, but instead about the number of people getting sick who needed urgent medical care.

As we can see from the hospitals now that the vast majority of us are vaccinated, roughly 85% of people who are very sick and are intubated are people who are unvaccinated. To give that number more context, 85% of the population (12+) is fully vaccinated. That means that 15% of the population account for 85% of the serious cases of COVID.

If you cannot wrap your head around that idea, please let me know. I will explain it in further detail for you and anyone else who would like to know more.
