And remember to say at the end....... "this is filmed with the men & women of law enforcement. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
Ahhh...the good old days of reality TV until the politically correct cancelled it.

I wouldn’t be surprised to the least that those gun were planted there by the RCMP on orders from the higher-ups to help their cause.
Imagine the level of paranoia to think up this bullshit and then to believe it.

Well. they believed all the anti-vax BS, so one can see that they will believe anything. I suppose that is why I have all the people from India calling me for various scams. Because of the small but significant percentage of the population who will believe any BS.
I think next time one of those guys calls me, I'll point them in the direction of the blockaders. Loads of money to be made.
Probably nothing new to add here but, well, whatever.
For at least a year I've been hearing the contrarian rumblings of 'that which shall not be named' lest you be branded ignorant; the mouth breathers. Many of these ideas came well supported and plausible. I heard these cries against the mainstream - yet I did not embrace them. I did not, because of two reasons - because these ideas were logical and more importantly, they were what I wanted to hear. Anytime this happens I check my myself. I check myself in the same fashion I do when someone tells me 'this new investment will make you rich'. Also because a carefully curated echo chamber begets confirmation bias. The mantra of the 'expert'' is changing. More inclusive if you will. Mental health casualties of two year long pandemic lockdowns are being acknowledged. The low risk to children and the lasting damage this ongoing interruption to learning is being raised. Old people dying (of Covid) are dying alone and terrified, confused; muted in the name of their own safety. Families are as divided as this country (or this forum). I have, anecdotally, seen all of the above play out in a sort of slow motion train wreck.
Perhaps it is time to change the play book on Covid.
I never watch posted videos, especially on this site, so forgive my hypocrisy. Bill Maher is someone I watch even though I disagree fundamentally with the majority of his opinions. But I recognize his intelligence and respect his opinions nonetheless. On this topic, happily, we agree. It's not long and maybe everyone has seen it but I think it's a good one.
“But the Emperor has nothing at all on!” said a little child.
Respectfully, the Canadian truckers, duly unqualified and 'not by their hand, but in their lap', represent the child in that old Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale we all had read to us as kids.

This is about following the money. This is about stopping the financing of these illegal blockades. We are today serving notice: if your truck is being used in these protests, your corporate accounts will be frozen.

Following the money….. Like the billions the Lieberals gave to the crooks at Bombardier, WE charity, SNC. Or the billions they pissed away on useless Covid policies that did NOTHING. Quarantine hotels, shutting down everything and then ruining people with CERB. Still making people get expensive PCR testing for no reason.
100% in full support of measures...very logical move. The wisdom is well supported. Good job!

(Reuters) - Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday said the government had invoked rarely used special measures allowing him to tackle protests that have shut some border crossings and paralyzed downtown Ottawa.
Below are some reactions to Trudeau's move gathered from press conferences and social media.
STORY:
FACTBOX:
COMMENTARY
THE CANADIAN CIVIL LIBERTIES ASSOCIATION
The standard for invoking the Emergencies Act "has not been met," the Canadian Civil Liberties Association said in a statement.
The Act exists for situations that seriously threaten "the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada" and that "cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada," adding the use of such legislation "should not be normalized."
GOLDY HYDER, CEO OF BUSINESS COUNCIL OF CANADA
"We recognize the gravity of the federal government’s decision to invoke the Emergencies Act. Having called on the federal government to show national leadership, we welcome this as a step toward ending illegal blockades across the country and upholding the rule of law."
PHIL BOYLE, ASSOCIATE CHAIR FOR LEGAL STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO
"It seems an interesting strategic move there to go after the money. That seems appropriate. One of the things that worked in Windsor, with the Ambassador Bridge, was the threat of taking away their licenses. If your livelihood depends on license, you’re going to think twice before putting that at risk. So that might very well work with the case of Ottawa," Boyle told Reuters.
"No doubt there will be some litigation to come of this, considering it’s never been done before... If these emergency measures are targeted within a particular province... Trudeau would only do it if he had the relevant province on board. Maybe that would lessen the potential for litigation."
"I wonder, how does this Federal emergencies order square with the (Ontario) provincial emergencies order that was just ordered on Friday? I don't think we've ever been in a situation where both the provincial and the federal government have, at the same time, invoked extraordinary emergency measures."
JACK LINDSAY, DEPARTMENT CHAIR FOR APPLIED DISASTER AND EMERGENCY STUDIES AT BRANDON UNIVERSITY IN MANITOBA
"It seems that they’re mostly going to focus on orders and regulations relating to finance... and that's a fairly effective tool," Lindsay told Reuters.
"I suspect following the money and then turning the money off is probably a good strategy and not one that's easily done... temporary short-term measures that wouldn't normally be acceptable can be put in place."
"They can certainly do things quicker, which is certainly the intention of these orders and regulations under the Emergencies Act. To be able to do things when it's useful rather than six months later when you've gone through all the regular democratic processes and regulations or an Act changed.
"I imagine this will start of week full of political discourse over whether the government overstepped or not."
LORI WILLIAMS, POLITICS PROFESSOR, MOUNT ROYAL UNIVERSITY, CALGARY
"There's the danger this could create more problems, that's why this has to be done with the cooperation of premiers and if they don't want help, then the federal government needs to hang back. It has to be very targeted, very strategic and very restrained, because these are enormous powers that are being implemented."
ONTARIO PREMIER DOUG FORD
"I'll support the federal government and any proposals they have to bring law and order back to our province, to make sure we stabilize our businesses and trade around the world as the world is watching us right now, wondering if it's a stable environment to open up businesses and expand businesses," Ford told reporters.
"These occupiers, they're doing the total opposite what they say they're there to do. They're hurting hundreds of thousands of families, millions of jobs across the province."
ADAM BUTTON, CHIEF CURRENCY ANALYST AT FOREXLIVE
"The protest hasn't been a material market mover of the Canadian dollar but ending the protest with emergency powers would remove the tail risk of a longer disruption."
QUEBEC PREMIER FRANCOIS LEGAULT
Legault told reporters that imposing the act risks putting "oil on the fire" by further polarizing the population and argued that local police in the mostly-French speaking province have the situation under control."
"I was very clear with the Prime Minister, that the federal emergency act must not apply in Quebec. I think we don't need it. I think that at this moment it would not help the social climate. There’s a lot of pressure right now and I think we have to be careful. So it’s about time we put all Quebecers together. But I can understand that enough is enough in Ottawa. You can protest but you cannot do what they are doing since two weeks."
ALBERTA PREMIER JASON KENNEY
"We would prefer that the Emergencies Act not be invoked, but if it is we would very much prefer that it not be applied to Alberta," Kenny told a media briefing.
MANITOBA PREMIER HEATHER STEFANSON
"In my view, the sweeping effects and signals associated with the never-before-used Emergencies Act are not constructive here in Manitoba, where caution must be taken against overreach and unintended negative consequences. While the situation is very different in Ontario, this ultimate federal legislation should only be considered on a measured and proportional basis, in locations where it is truly needed," Stefanson told reporters.
SASKATCHEWAN PREMIER SCOTT MOE
"The illegal blockades must end, but police already have sufficient tools to enforce the law and clear the blockades, as they did over the weekend in Windsor. Therefore, Saskatchewan does not support the Trudeau government invoking the Emergencies Act. If the federal government does proceed with this measure, I would hope it would only be invoked in provinces that request it, as the legislation allows," Moe told reporters
LEAH WEST, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, AT CARLETON UNIVERSITY
"The federal government must consult with provinces and Cabinet must believe the protests rise to the level of a national emergency. Can it truly be said the security of Canada is threatened by largely non-violent protests? Certainly, our sovereignty and territorial integrity are not at risk," West tweeted."

Basically, the premiers who oppose are appeasing their bases so understandable...votes are valuable and most politicians will pose with anyone for likes. Obviously the 'Blue' provinces are the most worried.

Twenty years from now you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Hitler was the founder of CRT. He blamed all the ills of his society on the one ethnic group that happened to have a disproportionate number of members who were highly successful.
I know you didn’t mean it as such but I will very very gently suggest you’re perpetuating an anti-Semitic trope, that Jews in the early 20th century were disproportionately “more successful” than anyone else.
It certainly doesn’t explain the genocide of Roma and Sinti people, either.
Your point is well taken. I meant to say that Hitler portrayed the Jews as being disproportionately represented in certain desirable positions in society while pinning all the woes of the German people on the historic actions of the Jews, which is pretty much what the proponents of CRT are doing today.

No. That’s you.. fighting on the streets, trying to usurp the legal government through threats, gaining support through lies.
Kristallnacht, the Ghettos, the Final Solution… that’s what comes after you and your compatriots who have been duped by lies forces the government to fall.
And rookie. What is legal protest? Obeying court orders, police instructions, and going home after your point is made. Not an occupation in perpetuity awaiting the fall of the government. These people have been afforded the patience few other groups ever have.
Fighting in the streets, burning businesses of people you don't like, threatening and beating people who don't look like you/don't agree with you....these are all things that BLM did, and our current PM not only condoned large gatherings of their supporters during the height of the pandemic; he came out and joined them thus lending his support to a movement that had openly committed arson and murder.
The Convoy Movement has harmed no one and damaged nothing. You need to check your dogma.
The NDP are not happy because it should have been invoked sooner. I agree. This means the people have the power, that is the NDP and Liberals, who actually represents the majority. In a democracy that is all it takes I'm afraid.

Yeah...and you dipshits believe the vaccine worked even though a ton of people still came down with COVID despite having 3 doses of vaccine in one year....

So, you're OK with the Trudeau foundation, associated with a sitting PM, getting a ton of funding from overseas. You are OK with Americans funding anti-oil groups whose work makes us a poorer country. You are OK with a marxist organization, which burns down our cities and instigates riots, being crowd sourced and getting foreign funding, but when money starts going to a cause with which you disagree, now you want Elliot Ness called in. You are not standing up for a principle here son; you are merely taking a side, and it is very much the wrong one.
Since Ontario, a blue province, was the first to invoke emergency measures there is 0 chance the Liberals will be obstructed outside of the usual name calling. Not a bad trade for making the world pay attention and fixing corrupt loopholes. I feel safer that those criminals who piggy backed on the noble intent of the movement are now closed off. It's too bad the innocents will be painted with the same brush. It's all in how you choose your 'friends'.

It is so easy to see how pathetic your arguments are.
I am the most credible person here because I am vehemently opposed to all the items you mentioned AND the convoy attack on our economy.
I just happen to believe the rule of law applies across the board, unlike what appears to be the majority of Canadians.
You show your pathetic hypocrisy by supporting one sides crimes but not the other.
You have a lot to learn about principle.

Just watch, They’re going to plant some weapons or homemade IEDs in Ottawa to justify crushing the protests. Trudeau is getting more unpredictable and erratic by the day.

Couple of porkies in that...
Broadly speaking, Kenney's 'Allan Report' didn't prove that foreign money had an untoward effect on the shrinking of the oil sector.
Which marxist organization nstigated riots and burnt down our cities? I wasn't aware of any BLM riots or arsons...

I’m not anti vax by the way. I believe anyone wants to get it is welcome to. I don’t agree with the threats and coercion this evil government did to get people to take it though. Chose between getting the shot or losing your job, livelihood and ability to put food on the table? Disgusting.
Oh yes. The kids starving to death rather than… getting another job.
Every pilot is a failed medical away from the same thing. Where’s the protests and outrage over that?
Besides. As much as they are stupid and believe that Trudeau runs “everything” (lol… Trudeau turned the gas price knob up today… hahahahahahaha!) they can’t seriously be stupid enough to think he controls USA mandates.
Oh.. wait. It’s all one world government under the WEF and the Illuminati and George Soros and Bill Gates. Hahaha!!!
