Isn't that what I said three weeks ago on this very thread? Don't let them into the city(as was the policy in some other cities). Too bad the police chiefs and mayors don't get their advice from me.

This is a good time to do some deeper analysis.

Which residents do you think are by far the most enraged? The ones directly affected in the downtown area. And what do downtown residents like to do in most of our cities? Vote for the progressives in very large percentages. And what do the progressive politicians love to do? Hire by race in the name of diversity.

Below is an article from 4 years ago stressing what was felt to be the importance of hiring diversity in Ottawa. Well guess what? They follow through and hire Sloly from outside the city as a direct entry police chief(after being turned down for the job in Toronto). So the top dog diversity hire, as voted for in policy, by the downtown residents, resulted in those diversity supporters having to endure all this. Maybe they will reconsider their votes next time and go for a mayor who hires the best for the job. It can have a big effect on your life years later without you even realizing it.

There is an investigation underway in which a plot to kill an official, possibly, a cop by someone within the Ottawa convoy and blame a left wing group to justify a riot. The plan was likely to then show support for that victim and thus justify the riot.

I want to give a shout out to all those who donated to the Shepherds of Good Hope in YOW. A huge amount of funds are helping many. I understand the freedom convoy's clean up costs and funding to compensate the affected citizens and their neighbourhoods will be tax payer borne. That's not good but I don't mind contributing my tax dollar as a donation to this cause. And a huge shout out to all health care professionals for staying the course and enduring all the wrath of those seeking freedom from oppression.

He knows an election is coming. I am happy to see this but I still don’t trust him (or any politician right now) but this is a good step in the right direction. We’re all done with it. It’s a frickin cold!

Many of the policies are going back to normal. Others will take a while. It is what it is.

But........I have seen enough over the last two years to say that it would be no surprise to me to see a new covid variant that spreads rapidly and is also more deadly than all the others and infects both previously infected and vaccinated people. We will see at that time what happens with the rules and regs. Whatever the differences in opinion, I think we can all agree that we hope this scenario does not happen.

Thank god ebola doesn't spread like covid.

I learned to drive semi on an International KB9 fuel truck with a 5 and a 4 and a non baffled tank. (If you don't know what I am talking about then you know squat about driving a truck). Those were the days. Cop pulled me over for a busted taillight on the trailer. He wanted my drivers license - which I didn't have. Told me to go and get the damn thing, so I took the tractor to town and showed up at the motor vehicle station. Did the itty bitty written test - passed and then got me an examiner who took one look at the tractor and crossed himself. Did the walkaround test - passed - and we got into the cab. He sat there looking at those 2 shifters and said "How the hell do these work" Well went for a little drive and showed him. That was far away and long ago but something to remember about driving a truck - it's a bit like riding a bicycle - you never forget - and the reality is also that you don't need a license or insurance to drive one - just need it to be "Legal".
