Chartright and Sky service
Hello all,
Could anyone let me know what the standard reserve block is at either of these carriers? Also how long is the callout time to YYZ?
Post here, or PM if needed.

There is no airline style reserve block at these outfits, from what I understand. You are typically on-call 24/7.

Depends on how many pilots are on airplane. If 3 then maybe a 12/5 sched, but could be 14/3.
You generally have to be at the FBO getting plane ready within 2 hours of the call, though the distance you live from airport can be negotiated depending on how much experience you have.

Thanks everyone, two hours seems reasonable.

Keep in mind the airlines generally have a large, well oiled operational support structure that's busily working away while you are responding within a given timeline. In the corporate operational structure the pilots are very likely also the Chief Cook and Head Bottlewasher with plenty of assigned pre-flight duties well beyond "kicking the tires & lighting the fires".

Re: Chartright and Sky service
Not even close, just getting there in 2 hours for most guys would be a stretch.

So I was looking a ways back into working for one of these larger “corporate management” companies and long since decided to decline that decision. Is it more geared towards pilots and ames looking for experience to move onto better things? There doesn’t seem to be any sort of schedule and always on call sort of deal no?schnitzel2k3 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 5:47 pm....unfortunately.

That's the plan, just gotta work on figuring out the family aspect. NIW success rate is still low in the U.S, so like jump rope, trying to time things for a succesful and efficient execution.Arnie Pye wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 7:54 amGetting out and going overseas.
