Re: Could/Would ACPA represent WJA pilots?

Post by Bede »

Remember that AC pilot from a few years ago that was spamming this forum with his war on ACPA and the "you can't handle the truth" videos and diatribes? Every bargaining unit has one...

Yes I was. I already answered your concerns a year or two ago when you first raised them. Beyond relaying what our lawyers have told us, I really don't know what else to tell you that would convince you that the "Seniority List" is the same as the "PSL" aka Pilot Seniority List. The argument that they're not the same seems pedantic. Employees from one bargaining unit can bring over seniority into another bargaining unit has been done before (references provided to you in the past). If you don't agree, that's OK- many pilots don't agree with it. The way to handle it though is to get involved as a rep or present a resolution to be voted on by your local. It is not to spam this forum, ask ACPA to take over, or threaten lawsuits.

John,
You know I like flying with you, and I think well of you. After your last bout of mad rants on this forums, I was encouraged to see your constructive engagement in the ALPA process. I'm not sure what happened, but you've gone off the rails again. I'm telling you this as a colleague and friend. Use your energy for constructive purposes.

Since I've already discussed this with and provided you with all the info, I'm not going to engage on this forum on this topic anymore.

I am working my way through deleting my posts. My usual sleuthing and dogged determination has resuited in a gem: the head negotiator explaining almost three years ago that PTA version 1.0 was primarily a transfer agreement and didn’t destroy the WSW/WJA PSL.

Why I had to fight this hard I don't know. I don't think it's that I'm smarter in some respects than a lot of apparently smart people, I just don't believe anyone. Everyone is a liar in my world.

Anyway, one way or another our bargaining unit will end up with our seniority list.
