A Poll for liberal voters
I'm curious if Gomery will change your vote if you're traditionally a Liberal supporter.

Hey World, VOTING is bullshit in Canada
Liberal party should fucking GO DOWN and PAYBACK all the money they stole or threw away. I don't know about you but I almost had a freaking heart attack today when i heard the amounts.
And not one of the politicians in Ottawa were saying sorry to us, or even care how devasting this could be for "people"
All they are arguing about is, who can be the next prime minister!!!! I'm totally disturbed by all this.

You watch- unfortunately Martin will win again, because people are afraid of Stephen Harper, the crazed bible thumper from Alberta. And people think, "why should I vote for anyone else other than the big 2? The others can't win, and I only want to vote for a winning party."
This Sponsorship stuff happens all the time. It's no big deal. This time, the party in power just got caught and were cocky about it. That's the only difference.

istp- Martin will win because he knows how to win?? People will still vote for him because he gives them money and who cares if he and his party are SOOOO CORRUPT and Evil,(I might add). If we vote for them then we must be all corrupted and evil too because it wouldn't be the first time people voted in a evil person, that's why we need to pray to God, everyday.
They should be removed from office, don't you think?

I agree with istp... I think Canadians will vote Liberal again because we have short memories, and the corruption and lack of accountability in government has simply become something routine that we expect to see and shrug off after a brief media scandal.
That, I think, is very very sad. The Conservatives may be no better, but it's time to clean house and I know how I'll vote. (Not that I'd ever have voted Grit in the first place.)

There was an interesting editorial in the paper the other day from a student regarding her observations of our elected representatives... While she relates the actions of members of one party, few members of any party are innocent of acting like spoiled children. If only they could all be replaced...

The Ottawa Citizen

When I visited the House of Commons with my law class on Oct. 20, I was very disappointed by the behaviour of the members of Parliament, particularly the Conservative MPs.
While our group of 60 teenagers sat in the public gallery watching question period, we observed that these politicians who represent ridings across our country were verbally harassing and attacking one another.
Liberal and NDP MPs on the government side of the Commons were generally well-behaved, but their counterparts sitting at the Opposition desks gave us such a bad impression of our parliamentarians.
Our teacher had told us that the House of Commons is where public debates on major issues affecting Canadians are held. But when cabinet ministers were on their feet answering questions, they were harassed and called names by the opposition MPs. This behaviour is not professional or respectful.
In our schools, students are being taught that verbal bullying is bad and harassment is unacceptable. Yet we saw adults who were elected to Parliament as members of a party that wants to run the country insulting and mocking members of the other parties.
Not only did the Conservatives verbally abuse the other MPs, but some were slumped in their chairs, others had their feet up on the desks, and many of them were swinging their earpieces in circles. Others showed up late and a few were playing at air guitar.
After delivering some insults, Deputy Conservative leader Peter MacKay high-fived his colleagues.
If students were to act in that manner in their classrooms, they would be disciplined.
They would be told that in the professional environment of the work world, this would be unruly and unacceptable. Do MPs think they are exempt from this standard?

ROFL... What a hack, I'm sure the Liberals never spin around their earpieces....CD "posted" what girly wrote:

And their best "most composed" buddy chretien is seen on the news as saying "they'z wantz to Fucks me"
I admit the conservatives do attack the liberals, but they're the "opposition" that's they're job, to attack.
Oh, yeah, and the "well mannered" liberals calling the Americans "morons" and "dummies" and all their usual slanderous remarks...
Please, I hate the Liberals, but to say only the libs* are "well-behaved," sheesh....
Good to see those liberal tendencies at the schools...
Funny how people can't preach religion in school but they can rant their political bs on to the youth....

In my humble opinion, we'll continue with minority government until a viable alternative comes along. Harper is not a viable alternative.
My wife put it best, the Conservatives scare me, they think that a womans place is in the home, bare foot and pregnant. Religious zealots have no place in mainstream politics.

For a guy who lives west of Toronto....gives me hope that there may be more level headed people out there in 'spurs and steers' country.
Nice post. They should make you a moderator on this site
Actually it is. Right now, it is the NDP Party with the most sense in parliament. They are not calling to bring down the government, they want to see if first things can get done in parliament or not before bringing down the government.Dust Devil wrote:Dude that's nothing to brag aboutWJflyer wrote:Never did vote Liberal... Good lord, that's a terrible thing to say about the Conservatives and even the Liberalsit is the NDP Party with the most sense in parliament
But face it, we're all just whacking off here. The Liberals are going to be re-elected next time by Ontario, and that's just the way it is.

I don't believe Canadians are corrupt, and evil, Chantal. They're just ignorant, and afraid of change. And I don't believe Martin is evil, just an opportunist who likes to feed his ego by being the PM. I think Martin should be removed from office, but I doubt the ignorant, afraid of change people out there will do it. Not next election.Chantal wrote:istp- Martin will win because he knows how to win?? They should be removed from office, don't you think?
Also, the majority of people don't give a rats ass about politics, so they make uninformed decisions when they vote. Hence my calling them ignorant.
As far as praying to God? Hell, it can't hurt! While you're at it, ask him to give me a float job next spring- other than the whole "believing in Him" thing, I'm a more devout person than many who profess to be religious!

Lord, Anyone heard of the Bloc??Hedley wrote:Good lord, that's a terrible thing to say about the Conservatives and even the Liberalsit is the NDP Party with the most sense in parliament.
If you want the a party that "makes sense" it's the bloc, but they're pr*cks and didn't want to let me run in Ontario under their banner,
"we dont' want to provide a sub-standard service"
I replied with "i already get sub-standard from the liberals"
they never replied back. \=(
What "uninformed decision" do they make? Green got 100 votes in my riding the NDP got 5000 and the cons and libs had 35000 between the two of them..Also, the majority of people don't give a rats ass about politics, so they make uninformed decisions when they vote. Hence my calling them ignorant.
What decision do you have to make? or you can "not vote," big help there...
We're no better than the americans who have Dems and Republicans.
And even if your liberal MP was against "gay marriage"(for EXAMPLE) along with his constituents(sp) the whip made sure he voted YES.
So YOUR elected official usually doesn't/can't speak his/your mind because the party says so.
Notice obesity on the rise? Cost of living going up? Divorces on the rise?My wife put it best, the Conservatives scare me, they think that a womans place is in the home,
That's cause fembots(i'm not saying she is) decided the place for a women was in the office.
Well now kids and families buy lunch at school/work from McD's, they buy dinner at KFC, everyone is grumpy from working....
Good ol' family values out the door, wages are down, costs of homes are up, everyone is fat and killing one another because some bra burning hack wanted ALL women to go out and work..
As for being pregnant, well they could be if they were at home and didn't spend 1k+/month on Day care, for their 1.2 kids... And we wouldn't be spending billions on immigration if someone stayed at home to raise the children and all would have more money to afford more children...
Oh well..
Change is change, some think it's "good" and others see that the word "equal" has cost society a ton of money and grief.

I really, really hope your joking or being sarcastic. I can't read a tone on a message board. But to blame a rise in obesity on women in the workplace is the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. I don't even have a comeback for that nonsense. Please, please tell me that was a joke.
