ACPA Update

ACPA Update

In a move to continue the implement of cost efficiencies to "To Fund Our Future" by publicly forgetting about the pilots that are the future - on International Pilots Day - the company issued its own company memo with the title "ACPA Updates" offering the union to cut costs itself by elimination of its own communications department.

That's right, this was no Saturday Night Live "Weekend Update" comedy skit with Seth Myers but a real company drafted message to acknowledge the hard work of old ACPA Reps on behalf of the company. This kind of appreciation hasn't been since the pilots volunteered 10% of their pay for the GoFund Me Page "Airline Executives are Executives too Bonus Fund". Apparently WJ pilots don't appreciate executives quite the same way

The boys of the band "The Big Red Shilli Peppers" with their 23 times Platinum hit "Give it Away Now" were replaced despite glowing accolades on the company sponsored review site Yammer.

Another "On the Move" memo revealed the latest graduate from the ACPA management training institute. It's an intensive training program where you study the playbook of your own so as to be able to deploy it against your own. Given history of success of one side and continual failure of the other, one can hardly question the move. Why play in the frigid town of 0 time cup champions Buffalo when you can make your way to the beaches of the thrice cup winners in Tampa. When asked about negotiators switching sides, Tampa's Nikita Kucherov was quoted: "That's some Number 1 Bullshit".

The old guard was on full display as the YUL Chair held a "Pilots for Less Money" rally. Poms Poms could be witnessed from the fans of team management as the King of Rock n Rolling and bending over to the company explained why any engagement outside of his personal Facebook fan page was bad. Mark Zuckerberg was seen vomiting in his mouth when he saw the pay of flag carrier pilots under this regime. The ghost of Guy Lafleur was shaking his head as the YUL chair explained why change & progress is bad and the equivalent steps forward of helmets and plexiglass for the fans were misteps. A faint voice was heard that appeared to be Lafleur with the word - "dipshits"

Out west there was notice of a recall vote of the "anything, please, but the flightline" YVR Base Chair. I guess when you too love cranking out the hit "Give it Away" over and over again, you too dont want to have to fly under the new working conditions. When you're a fully displaced widebody Captain, every penny saved, is a penny earned off the back of furloughs, 82 hrs at a time.

Coincidently a union meeting that was desperately needed was cancelled which wasn't surprising given they havent happened in years. I guess when you're so out of date, you don't need to issue an update when management is doing it for you.

As someone who is on the YUL Chair's Facebook page, I can say it is quite alarming the rhetoric that comes out. His support for the YVR Base Chair should be speak volumes for the folks out west.

It's no holds barred on attacks and quite frankly the "Pilots For Less Money" part is likely bang on.

Following these old guys into negotiations will lead to more concessions disguised as gains. Enough is enough.

BRAVO. Bang on the money.

When MS came out cheering for the "hard work" done by the "Pilots for less" gang, a red flag should have been raised high. He should NEVER be commenting on internal union matters. Kinda smacks of the on stage "love in" with Ben Smith a few years back. What a joke we've become.

DRAIN the SWAMP. YUL, YWG, and YVR reps are company schills and dues parasites. It's time the companies expectation of "zero sum" and "negative sum" bargaining with the pilot group ends. 20 years is plenty, thanks.

Make a decision NOW young people, 2024 approachith.
