Canada Jetlines

Post by PitchLink »

Anyone know anything about what’s going on here? They’re an ULCC planning on running this summer from what I’ve read.

The airline was originally founded in 2013 and planned to launch an ULCC in 2019 based at YVR. That launch timeframe was pushed back, and in 2021, a new anticipated launch date of early 2022 was announced. In the meantime, the airline decided to change its business plan to focus on the leisure travel market based at YYZ, so no ULCC any more. So far they are planning to receive their OC by June and launch flights on their old shinny 320 to routes down south.

Seems kinda strange they’ve been around for 10 years and still not up and running. They are however on the exchange for .30/share….

Interesting, I did some reading they have one aircraft atm but two more coming this year? They’re cutting it very close for summer seeing it’s now late may and they don’t even have their AOC yet.

A former colleague of mine has been hired to join their training department as a pilot so I imagine that if they haven't started hiring pilots for the line yet, it will be happening soon.

Ya they have been publicly traded since them too. Makes you wonder what’s actually going on

I bought a "jetlines" hat from their website, merch section, in 2019... they charged $40 for a $10 Ball cap... thought it'd be a fun prop for an interview when I thought I wouldn't mind joining the early YVR team of pilots... it's now 2022.. I'm pretty sure the only revenue Canada Jetlines has ever declared is my $40 hat😅😗 ya welcome

I love how it went from Canadas first ULCC to leisure airline very quietly.

….. shares have been closing at $0.28 the last week or so, I wouldn’t invest in this personally, seems like a scam.
