Reading some of the comments on the external links makes me chuckle. Especially the part where Americans don't like the app.

If memory serves correctly, they were the first ones to implement extra paperwork when crossing the border, their ESTA program. A few years ago Europe implemented something similar, and now Canada.

I don't like either one of them, but acting as if Canada is the only one doing something like this, is a bit unjust.

Just wondering if anyone has info on what they do about people who do not have smartphones? How do they cross the border? I am thinking about going back to an old school flip phone. (Yes you can still get them)

You can fill it out on any computer and print it out.

ArriveCAN is literally the easiest thing to use. I downloaded it and did the entire registration in the 5 minute check in line in a Mexican airport.

Once you’ve done your first registration it’s even easier.

A huge part of the delays at Canadian airports are people not filling out an electronic form that’s even simpler than a customs declaration before they get to customs.
