Aviation is responsible for 2.1% of global CO2 emissions, of which I am guessing less than 1% of that is attributable to private jets. Pretty sure if we want to reduce emissions there is lower hanging fruit.

At 1% for private aircrafts, you are being extremely liberal.

If you want to reduce emissions, do you want to tell a thousand people to stop driving their cars, or one guy to stop using his corporate jet?

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Apparently neither of those is nearly as effective at reducing emissions as gluing yourself to a sixteenth century art work. It was explained to me how that works and I understood it at the time, but for some reason I can't reproduce the reasoning right now.

It is funny that HE thought the justification for not flying on it, or no one actually uses the jet on that leg would go over well with the public.

I get it, no one I know outside of aviation understands his need for a 767.

I saw this on twitter when the backlash started, he got caught by some geek following him on ads-b exchange lmao. I bet that thing has marble floors and a hot tub that’s always left running and heated with a janitrol 24-7 365/yr lol.
And as for the 14 minute jumps from YYZ-YHM and vice versa with no pax? That’s him shifting the blame on the aircrew / flight department, it backfired lol.

The newest one of these short-haul shaming ‘articles’ in the daily mail points out Mark Wahlberg flew on his global from London to Dublin, pointing out it is only a 43 minute flight. Guess he should have swam like the common folk…

Maybe he needs a 767 to fly the raptors around? Lol
