Doesn't seem to be ATC Flight Planning

Was going on a VFR flight the other day. Seeing as I was going to penetrate the terminal airspace along my route, and the controllers don't seem to like penetration without prior permission, I thought that I might do as is required and get prior permission with a squawk code.

But what number to call. I didn't have a CFS and didn't feel like doing a cumbersome thing like trying to remember how to access a CFS on my Foreflight program and figure it all out. I wanted instant gratification of having the number to dial right away.

Then it came. I remembered the mnemonic of VFR-CODE that was written on the wall of some flight school.

But is it 1-800, 1-866, or 1-888 VFR-CODE. Figured I try the 888 version.

I can't be sure but I don't think the person who answered works in ATC, unless this it is just a side job.

Try dialling 1-888-VFR-CODE.

But don't out it full blast on the speaker in the office.

You might get fired in this day and age.
