Flair hire
Hi guys
I have heard Flair is running lots of ground school courses. Did anyone get an invite recently? I have been waiting in the pool wondering how long the wait is usually.

Re: Flair hire

Re: Flair hire
Has the invitation for the october 17th GS been sent to selected candidates in the pool?
Re: Flair hire
wondering the same and approx how long are ppl usually waiting in the pool?
Re: Flair hire
Not all invitations have gone out for October yet. The recruiting team is focusing on DECs and experienced pilots who can upgrade in under 6 months for the remainder of 2022
Re: Flair hire
Any plans on which month FO’s with less than 4000hrs will start?
Re: Flair hire
That depends on what the under 4000 hours look like. Q400 captain with 3500TT might be competitive in 2022.738 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 5:17 pmAny plans on which month FO’s with less than 4000hrs will start?
>2500 hours and all 703 is likely a March 2023 course onwards.
Re: Flair hire
Hello, can you please tell how how long after you submit your resume to Flair the contact you?
Re: Flair hire
If you have more than 2500 hours, you’ll be contacted within a week. If less than that then they will take their time. They are just gonna put you in a pool for a year and will keep hiring above you until they get desperate.
Re: Flair hire
Did candidates receive any emails from Flair recently? Does being in the pool mean anything? It seems like they are starting to raise hiring standards.
Re: Flair hire
From what I understand being in the pool doesn’t mean anything necessarily. They do say “Your application will remain active in our pool for up to one year from today’s date.” That being said then I guess after one year your back to stage one? Someone can clarify

Re: Flair hire
If I had to guess I’d say since announcing their YYC base they will have seen the experience level on their applications go up significantly which will hold many people in the pool. Lots of guys trying to get out or Encore/WJ/smaller operators in YYC and who didn’t consider applying to Flair before this base announcement.
Re: Flair hire
Well in the spring they were hiring a lot as they brought on 6 aircrafts. I think now they’re caught up with crews and the next batch is due for next spring as they bring on more airplanes in the new year.Canadaflyer46 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:51 am If I had to guess I’d say since announcing their YYC base they will have seen the experience level on their applications go up significantly which will hold many people in the pool. Re: Flair hire
I believe they keep applications active for one year if they haven't been updated. If you've been interviewed and received a successful letter then we want to hire you. However, hiring from now to early 2023 will focus on experienced pilots that can come as DEC's or upgrade in under 6 months. If you are lower on the experience spectrum then you will likely spend some time in the pool as more qualified pilots are targetted in order to meet the rapid growth captain requirements.Yogi21 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 7:04 pm@tbalyx is this true?medo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 6:31 amFrom what I understand being in the pool doesn’t mean anything necessarily. Our aircraft arrive April to July, then in November again. Hiring ramps up early in the new year to cover the spring deliveries. We anticipate hiring 150+ pilots for 2023 including 75+ internal upgrades/DECs.
