Is it hard to be an air traffic controller in Canada?
Hi guys.
I've been working as an air traffic controller in South Korea for 6 years so far and learning FAA procedure with USAF controllers here.
I've searched some info from NAV Canada website, and its requirement says even landed immigrants can apply for this job, so I may want to try in a couple of years.
Since I don't know much about current job market in Canada, can someone tell me what is it like? Is it hard to join? Do they require extremely high quailification?

I sure hope so.

Nav Canada are desperate to hire controllers right now. Who knows what will happen in a few years though.

I heard the pass rate is about 10 percent of all applicants. (no real requirements to apply however)

I heard somewhere that for IFR controllers only 1 out of 100 initial applicants go all the way to being checked out.
