Saudi Red Sea Global C-208 Amphib Pilot Job

Post by Dhc6to8 »

Interviewed and declined the offer - 1 year contract; no rotations, 8000$ USD/month, looking specifically for C-208 experienced pilots - and they want them cheap. They plan to operate the C-208 into water conditions that the DHC-6F amphb already in country, has proven that a DHC-6F is required to handle the open water conditions throughout the various Red Sea seasons. They have no idea how to operate a seaplane operation other then the experienced Chief Pilot they hired from Australia and a former Harbor Air consultant.
Be aware - low salary, heavy water conditions during certain Red Sea seasons and no rotations.
The future plans are to bring in electric powered C-208 Amphibs to maintain their “Green” eco friendly approach.
Many of us have turned down their offer.
Go in asking lots of questions.

Saudi Arabia has become a land of sketchy employment, they'll hire you happily in a week and then send a notice a week later to kick you off just cause your not a Saudi and your coming from abroad

They just re-posted for this job: C-208 Amphibian Pilot. Some of the most experienced C-208 Captains have already turned the job down. Be aware - it is over a half year long that they are trying to recruit - and, there is no firm commitment to start of operations.
Seems to be a sketchy operation start.

So… anybody bite and go to Saudi to try this gig?

There's a bunch of us who would love to hear the real dope from the horse's mouth

Or are they still trying to recruit???

I messaged with them out of curiosity but declined also.. didn't even get into the numbers, just not a place that lights a fire under me.

Who's Ops Mgr? Anyone know?
